Caryn Nalugwa's New Beginning

Caryn Nalugwa was only seven when her life took a difficult turn. Her mother, seeking better opportunities, left for the UAE, hoping to provide a brighter future for her daughter. But as fate would have it, Caryn's father was incarcerated shortly after, leaving her alone, vulnerable, and without guidance.
At such a tender age, the world seemed like a vast, confusing place, and without anyone to care for her, Caryn faced unimaginable risks. The streets of Seguku, where she lived, were unforgiving, and the thought of a little girl trying to navigate them on her own was heart-wrenching.
But just when it seemed that all hope was lost, the Mapenzi Ya Dunia Foundation (MYDF) stepped in. They identified Caryn's situation and took swift action. Enrolling her in Skylands Junior School two years ago, MYDF provided Caryn with more than just an education—they gave her a new life. They took full care of her, ensuring she had everything she needed, from food and clothing to emotional support and education.
Now, at nine years old, Caryn is a Primary 3 student. With a warm smile and a heart full of hope, she dreams just like any other child her age. She talks about becoming a teacher, a doctor, or even a pilot one day. Thanks to the support from MYDF, Caryn Nalugwa is no longer a child at risk. Instead, she’s a little girl with big dreams, and the future finally looks bright.
